Finally Home..

Well we are back from the Christmas with both families, I got to see my Mamaw and papaw, Sue Sue and Uncle Wayne, my cousin, Jill and her husband Chris. My brother, Steve and nephew, Tanner, My Mom and Dad and my other Grandmother on my Father's side, Grandma Ginny, We had a good time and the girls always have fun seeing everybody. We have not got to see some of my family for 2 years so we were so happy to see them. We went on to see Brian's family in Muskogee ( Mine were in OKC) we then came back through Tulsa, for my Birthday and to go to Casa Bonita. We are almost always still traveling around visiting or coming home from visiting family so it has become a tradition to go to Casa Bonita for my birthday. I love to go there, we use to go to Casa when I was little on our way to OKC and sometimes we would go to the one in OKC (it has been closed a long time now) with my Mamaw. She use to take me there for special when I spent the week with her and Papaw in the summer. Anyway the food is Not super great but for some reason I just love their cheese enchiladas. No one makes them like that. So my husband that doesn't like Mexican food at all takes me there for my birthday. My girls like it and that's all that matters to me.. So we will keep up with our cheesy tradition until there is no more Casa.. I know that happened before! I have been to the Denver Casa also, with my sis an brother when we were all at my sisters' about 9 years ago. Julie is friends with someone who works there in the office so I get good Casa Bonita updates!

Baking the Superpower!

While cleaning up from dinner tonight my youngest started talking about if everyone was a superhero in our family what power they would have. She said she would have super speed, her sister would have superpower of fire, and her daddy she said would have super strength. Jana then asked Jeana what about Mom? She said "well Mom bakes great so she will have super baking power." So I said how's that work? LOL Do I bake people to death or bake for them till they explode?!! Later she said I would also have the power to move things with my mind. So now I can throw my baked goods at people with my mind! CRAZY! So what am I to be called? Wonder Bread Woman?

slowly loosing it!

So today I had set aside for wrapping packages mostly, that is, while wrapping my husbands gifts while he was gone to work, I notice that on the receipt that I was charged 22 dollars instead of 19 dollars. I thought they charged me for the wrong chair, but oh no.. it was much more than that. They gave me the wrong chair too. We had bought a folding chair for my husband for hunting, we picked one out at Academy and a few other hunting related items and went to the checkout and waited, and waited and waited. So when we get up to check out the chair has no tag, they send someone back to get one with a tag and scan it in, by this time it is late and my kids are STARVING and so we hurry out, me not looking at the receipt. Fast forward 3 days later I go back to exchange the chair and all they have are the 9 dollar chair which is too small for my husband, the 22 dollar chair that I was given already, it had mesh on the seat and the back and we thought it would be cold to sit in and was not like the one that was stolen from Brian's car. I asked for help from a man working there and he said uhhh I guess we are out. I said what about that one, pointing to the display over my head. No I can't give you that one. Ok, WHATEVER so I left and went to Walmart where the entire town was. I found a 20 dollar chair similar to what he had before with no mesh and put it in my cart bought a few groceries and some gifts I had not gotten yet and felt ok about having to go out again but I hadn't gotten much wrapping done because of all my excursions. So tonight I was going to really wrap, right? WRONG... We begin to wrap and we get about 4 presents wrapped and we realize that the roll of tape is almost out. I ask my husband to check in the junk drawer, no not there he says, check in the coffee table drawer I holler, no not there what about the craft cabinet I say.. NO! he says I think we are out. To which I put my fingers in my ears and yell NO LA LALA LA LALA LA LA LA and he starts laughing at me!!! So in the morning I have to go get tape and some tissue paper and start again. So I bid you good night.

Ho HO HO

Here are some photo's of Santa with Baby Jesus, (otherwise known as Jana) it is one of my favorites since Santa here is my Dad. This was 13 years ago and his eyebrows STILL do not match the beard if he wore it but they are getting closer. next we have Santa with little Clause, (clearly the strain of playing Jesus was too much for her!)
Hey Santa I'm getting Hungry aren't you suppose to bring me some candy or something?

Well if all you have is your finger I guess I'll take that!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I stuck my big foot in!

So tonight was my work's Christmas Party/Secret Pal party. We have been giving secret pal gifts since the beginning of Oct or so and tonight we revealed who they were. I could have died, but I just sat there with my fake little smile and thought did I say that to her or was it someone else? This is what I'm talking about. Sometime before thanksgiving I had a conversation with someone at my pre-school about how I hate secret pals and that I ALWAYS have the suck one. Yes, I used those words. I said more about it too. Now fast forward to tonight my secret pal was the person that I teach pre-school in the room with and I think I told HER that! I can't believe I said that to her. If I did because I can't REMEMBER who I told that to. What a big dunce! Everyone said the same thing to me when they saw me at the party. HEY, your wearing makeup! So I must go now, I still have some goodie bags to fill for Jeana's party and I have to make more white pretzels because the girls make a huge mess with the ones they made and were ungiftable. And just so we are clear, I STILL hate secret pals, and I STILL get the SUCK one! lol

I love Snow Days.

I see on facebook everyone is moaning about how they can't wait for school to be in tomorrow. Not that I don't want school to be in but I really love it when we have normal snow days. Brian and I get extra time together, the girls and I have fun together and mostly it is a nice day. Jeana spent the majority of her time playing animal crossings and unknown to her it was helping her practice reading. Hee Hee Hee... She just didn't realize that there was so much reading in that game. I would help her when it was too hard. I also had a chance to catch up on some candy making and laundry. We had a fun afternoon watching what Melissa use to call my pets. I feed the wild birds and I put seed out for them and they were landing in our yard all over and getting the seeds. Today I even got to go out to lunch with Brian. I LOVE having a daughter old enough to take care of her little sister for a hour or two. All we did was do a little Christmas shopping and go to eat at McAlisters but is was nice to be able to do that. I know you are all jealous I got to leave with out kids today!! Well I am off to see about watching shows with my hubby. I do hope there is school tomorrow but so my kiddos can see some friends and Jeana's class has only one more chapter of Henry Huggins and I would like to finish it for them before Christmas break... Potty talk....

Ok, so I have been around kids for a long time, and I have been baby sitting, working in pre-school area of some sort since I was 12 years old. But the other day, I heard something new, in fact it cracked me up. I was taking a little girl to the bathroom and she said. The potty likes the LEMONADE I made for it! I totally was cracked up. I mean I have heard many euphemisms such as, visiting Mrs Murphy, inspecting the rear tire, the head, tinkle, making bubbles etc. But I never heard of making the toilet some LEMONADE. Every time she says it it makes me laugh, kids are so funny! Well I better get to bed, I have to work tomorrow and no telling what will be said next! I'm also so behind in any Christmas shopping, and I am feeling apathetic towards going, no clue why. So instead of getting ready for Christmas on Saturday, I am chaperoning a bowling date for my 13 year old and her boyfriend. Last week we spent some time with him and he seems to be a nice boy and we got to meet his mother, so I will tell you more soon.

The tree

Yes, I appliqued these stockings for the girls each the year they were born. I stayed up way late to finish Jana's I was crazy!

I told Heather that I would post a picture of my tree so here it is. Tuesday we made homemade pizza and since my kids always act like that is a huge deal we took pictures of that too. I am super tired today, it was a busy day at pre-school and then awana. We made Christmas trees at pre-school and then I made wreaths at Cubbies. So I am crafted out for the day. I have to go rip all the old Girl Scout badges off a used vest that I bought Jeana so I will leave you with these pictures. Also I MUST go watch Top Chef. PS. I am never quite happy with the placement of pictures on the blog. I can't quite figure out how to make the pictures come after the words or move them around. Any helps??

Woman's flaw

Someone sent this to me, so I though it was good. Pass it along.

By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.

An angel appeared and said,
"Why are you spending so much time on this one?"

And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart and she will do
everything with only two hands."

The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish."

But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when
she is sick AND can work 18 hour days."

The angel moved closer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."

"Will she be able to think?", asked the angel.

The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate."

Then angel the noticed something and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
"Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one."

"That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!"

"What's the tear for?" the angel asked.

The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride."

The angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything!
Woman is truly amazing."

And she is! Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile
when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what
they believe in. They stand up to injustice. They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so
their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer
when their friends get awards. They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve
at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left. They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman
is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love. They have passion and ideals. They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR OWN WORTH!

PLEASE pass this along to all your women friends and relatives to remind them just how amazing they are!
